Hi all -

I know how hard it is to get job search questions answered directly these days…sure, you can join a webinar or read a book, but even when you do, the answers are never specific to you; what you’re facing in YOUR job search.

Because of this, I have decided to launch this CAREER HELP COLUMN: “Ask Laura!” So, if you have a job search question that you are itching to ask, please do so on this site. Also, I ask that you be specific in your inquiry, so that I can really address the real issue you are facing. Stay away from questions like “How do you get a job?” or “How do I use twitter or Linkedin?” or other questions for which it is virtually impossible to limit a response.

So, you may be thinking, what’s up with the free advice? Well, I’ll be selecting a few and answering them on my blog, which I’ll share on twitter, facebook, linkedin and with this group. As a result, there is no guarantee that your question will be selected, but keep checking back because I’ll be answering as many as I can! Of course, no when a question is answered in my column, all names and identifiable information will be changed for confidentiality.
